DOH waiting for Russia to provide more info on Sputnik V vaccine

The Philippines' Department of Health is waiting for Russia to provide additional information on its Sputnik V vaccine candidate before clinical trials can start in the country.

Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said that while the Philippine vaccine experts panel has reviewed initial documents from Moscow, they are still awaiting more details.

Vergeire also noted that the manufacturer of Sputnik V, Gamaleya, has not yet applied for clinical trials in the Philippines and is currently coordinating with local health officials.
