Robredo launches Swab Cab for free antigen tests in Malabon

Vice President Leni Robredo launched a mobile Swab Cab program in Malabon City on Tuesday, offering free antigen COVID-19 tests to residents in high-risk areas.

The initiative aims to complement existing RT-PCR testing by targeting asymptomatic individuals without known exposure to positive cases.

On the first day, only 502 out of a target of 1,500 people were tested due to concerns about isolation requirements for those who test positive.

Robredo noted that each test takes an average of two minutes and emphasized the importance of rapid response in isolating and containing the virus.
