NegOcc guv seeks NTF approval for mandatory swab test, quarantine

Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson has requested NTF officials Carlito Galvez Jr. and Vivencio Dizon to allow the province to implement mandatory swab tests and quarantine for all travelers arriving at airports and seaports, citing a recent spike in positive cases.

On Thursday, March 30, Lacson issued Executive Order 21-18-A, which mandates that all inbound travelers undergo RT-PCR testing upon arrival and be quarantined until results are released.

The governor revised EO 21-18 to enforce the new protocols starting April 1, despite Resolution 101 of the IATF-EID no longer requiring swab tests and quarantine for travelers.
