Robredo shifts focus to uniting Filipinos, not presidential aspirants

Vice President Leni Robredo announced on Friday, October 8, that she will no longer focus on unity talks with other presidential candidates.

Robredo stated that differences in basic principles prevented a common ground among aspirants and that her mission to unite the opposition has not succeeded.

Instead of uniting politicians, Robredo aims to be seen as a unifying figure by the Filipino people.

She emphasized that while lines remain open for dialogue, her current focus is on gaining support from the public rather than political allies.
