Leni credits base for Kiko, Bam’s strong Senate showing

Vice President Leni Robredo credited the relentless hope of her base for the strong showing of former senators Francis 'Kiko' Pangilinan and Paolo Benigno 'Bam' Aquino IV in the Senate race.

Robredo praised both candidates, citing their trustworthiness and genuine public service based on personal experiences working with them during previous campaigns.

She emphasized that Naga voters prioritize integrity over wealth when choosing candidates for office, highlighting the strength of their movement despite setbacks in the 2022 elections.

Former Interior and Local Government Secretary Benhur Abalos, a Senate bet of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., also met with Robredo ahead of the event to discuss support and assistance to her city.

Robredo acknowledged social media bashing she experienced from some 'Kakampinks' but expressed satisfaction over the election results, stating that their strategic endorsements paid off, as Akbayan party-list is number one and Mamamayang Liberal (ML) secured a seat.
