Palace reminds RITM to be careful in releasing test results

Malacañang reminded the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) to be more careful in releasing test results after an erroneous report indicated that ACT-CIS Rep. Eric Go Yap had tested positive for COVID-19.

The RITM later clarified that Yap's test result was a false positive due to an encoding error and assured the public that he is actually negative for the virus.

RITM apologized to Yap and stated that their testing process remains compliant with WHO protocol, and this incident was an isolated case.
