Ricky Davao dies at 63 after cancer battle

Veteran actor and director Ricky Davao passed away at the age of 63 after battling cancer, prompting an outpouring of tributes from colleagues, friends, and family.

His children confirmed his passing on May 2, sharing heartfelt messages and childhood photos to remember him by.

Colleagues including Sharon Cuneta, Lotlot De Leon, Manilyn Reynes, Dingdong Dantes, and Jericho Rosales shared their memories of Ricky, highlighting his contributions as an actor and director, as well as a mentor and friend.

Ricky's partner Mayeth Malca paid tribute to him for the unconditional love he gave her and described him as the bravest and strongest person she has ever known.

His memorial services will be held at The Heritage Park in Taguig City from May 4 to 7, with a family tribute scheduled on May 6.
