Retired officers urge Duterte to retract WPS statements

A group of retired military and police officers urged President Rodrigo Duterte on Tuesday to retract statements that do not align with the national interest regarding the West Philippine Sea.

The Advocates for National Interest, led by retired Lt. Gen. Edilberto Adan, called on Duterte to defend the country's sovereignty against China's aggressive maritime claims.

Adan stressed that defending the West Philippine Sea is a constitutional obligation and criticized divided voices that justify China's position.
