Rep Marlyn Primicias-Agabas calls for Comelec probe of vote buying in Pangasinan

Pangasinan 6th district Representative Marlyn Primicias-Agabas has called on the Commission on Elections (Comelec) to investigate alleged massive vote-buying operations in her province.

In letters dated April 29, she cited reports that supporters of Mr. Gilbert Estrella are distributing P3,000 per voter in Rosales, Balungao, and Asingan.

Primicias-Agabas emphasized the brazen nature of these efforts, which undermine election integrity and violate citizens' rights to freely choose their leaders.

Estrella denied involvement in vote-buying on Saturday, saying his office is open to any investigation by authorities.

Comelec confirmed that Primicias-Agabas' letter had been forwarded to the Committee on Kontra Bigay for investigation into vote-buying and related offenses.
