Rep Lordan Suan denies fake news on aid funding

Cagayan de Oro Rep. Lordan Suan denied a viral Facebook post claiming Speaker Martin Romualdez approved additional aid funding after his impeachment vote, stating it is fake news intended to mislead people.

The false post has garnered over 80,000 reactions on Facebook and thousands of shares and comments since its publication.

Suan emphasized that the post from a fake page called 'The Working Congressman' does not represent him or the House of Representatives.

Duterte Youth party-list chairman Ronald Cardema alleged without evidence that conditional release funds may have influenced impeachment negotiations.

ACT Teachers Rep. France Castro also denied claims she was offered money to support the impeachment complaint against Vice President Sara Duterte.

Suan reiterated that his vote for the impeachment was not a personal attack but an act of accountability, and he remains loyal to his constituents.
