Rep. Rodriguez urges probe into NBP inmate deaths

Cagayan de Oro City Rep. Rufus Rodriguez urged the House Committee on Justice to probe the reported deaths of high-profile inmates at New Bilibid Prison (NBP).

Rodriguez filed House Resolution No. 1090 due to concerns over the Bureau of Corrections' refusal to disclose information about inmate deaths.

He expressed worry over speculations that these deaths might be fake or simulated, and reported instances of 'body-switching' where dead prisoners are falsely identified to free high-profile inmates.
