Churches can operate at 30% capacity in GCQ

Churches and religious gatherings in general community quarantine (GCQ) areas are now allowed up to 30% venue capacity.

DOJ Secretary Menardo Guevarra announced the correction of an oversight by the IATF, which previously set a maximum of 10% seating capacity for GCQ areas.

The new rule applies until May 31, 2021, and aligns with the previous modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) rules that allowed up to 30% capacity if approved by local government units.
