POEA orders recruitment agencies to monitor health of OFWs in HK, Macau

The POEA has ordered all recruitment agencies to monitor the health of Filipino workers in Hong Kong and Macau due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Recruitment agencies are required to provide advice on health protocols and precautionary measures before deployment, and establish accessible lines of communication for emergency cases.

The directive comes after President Duterte approved a travel ban to China, Macau, and Hong Kong, which was later partially lifted to allow entry for Filipino workers employed there.
