Rain or Shine beats Phoenix 116-99 in PBA Governors' Cup

The Rain or Shine Elasto Painters defeated the import-less Phoenix Fuel Masters, 116-99, in the PBA Governors' Cup on Friday at Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

Adrian Nocum, who was sidelined for the first quarter, scored 21 points including a critical 19-point performance in the second quarter to help Rain or Shine come back and tie the game at halftime.

Gian Mamuyac led an 8-0 run late in the third quarter that pulled away Phoenix, securing Rain or Shine's fourth straight win and making them the only unbeaten team in Group B.

Aaron Fuller topped Rain or Shine with a double-double of 28 points and 22 rebounds, while Jhonard Clarito added 15 points and Andrei Caracut contributed 13 points.

Phoenix struggled without their import players, led by RJ Jazul and JJ Alejandro each scoring 12 points as the team remained winless in three games.
