Rain or Shine beats NorthPort 127-107, improves to 6-3

Rain or Shine returned to its winning ways by defeating NorthPort with a decisive 127-107 victory in the PBA Commissioner's Cup on Thursday at Philsports Arena.

Coach Yeng Guiao emphasized that their recent two-game losing streak served as a wake-up call, resetting their mindset and improving their determination for this win.

Rain or Shine improved its record to 6-3 while NorthPort fell to 7-3 after suffering consecutive losses, creating a logjam at the middle of the standings with Hong Kong Eastern, Meralco Bolts, and Barangay Ginebra.

Import Deon Thompson led Rain or Shine's scoring efforts with 27 points and 11 rebounds, while Adrian Nocum contributed 16 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists.

With the win, Rain or Shine inched closer to their goal of notching seven wins to secure a playoff spot, preparing for their next challenge against Barangay Ginebra on Wednesday at Ynares Sports Center.
