La Salle loses preseason game despite early lead

In their recent preseason meet against UP Fighting Maroons, La Salle's Green Archers lost despite leading by 20 points in the first half.

Kevin Quiambao, La Salle’s standout player and MVP of the FilOil Preseason Cup, acknowledged that complacency cost them the game but emphasized no excuses would be made.

Quiambao expressed gratitude for this early reality check, noting it will allow more time to prepare for their goal of a second consecutive UAAP men's basketball title.

With key players leaving, Quiambao is stepping up to take on leadership roles within the team as coach Topex Robinson encourages all members to contribute.

Quiambao also mentioned his upcoming participation with Gilas Pilipinas in the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament in July and stressed the importance of focusing on their own performance rather than rivalries.
