Marcos Jr. delivers 3rd Sona; schools suspend classes, QC under liquor ban

President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. is set to deliver his third State of the Nation Address (Sona) at the Batasang Pambansa in Quezon City on Monday, July 22.

Private and public schools in Quezon City have suspended classes for all levels and canceled Brigada Eskwela community service activities to facilitate public attendance and minimize traffic congestion caused by protests and marches near Batasang Pambansa.

The local government of Quezon City has also implemented a liquor ban from 12:01 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Monday, while the Philippine National Police (PNP) enforced a nationwide gun ban starting at midnight on Saturday, July 20, until Tuesday, July 23.

These measures aim to encourage public participation and maintain order during the significant national occasion.

The Quezon City government encourages its employees and residents to listen to the Sona to reduce traffic and ensure smooth operations.
