QCPD investigates fatal condo fall; blames facade cracks on antennas

The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) shared initial findings from its probe into a falling debris incident at a Tomas Morato Avenue condominium that killed one student and injured two others on Thursday.

Preliminary investigations revealed visible cracks in the facade of Unit 8-D where antennas were installed, suggesting vibrations from drilling and installation may have contributed to plaster detachment.

One of the injured students passed away on Wednesday, with two others sustaining severe head injuries and one arm injury.

QCPD met with victims' families and stakeholders, including representatives from involved companies, to clarify roles and responsibilities.

Formal requests for technical documents have been sent to relevant government agencies as part of evidence collection.

The QCPD assures public accountability and safety, promising justice for the victims and their families through thorough evaluation of testimonial and documentary evidence.
