QC threatens jail, fines for COVID-19 vaccine program violators

Quezon City has approved an ordinance imposing fines and jail time for violations related to the COVID-19 vaccination program.

Violators can be fined PHP5,000 and/or imprisoned for up to six months.

Mayor Joy Belmonte warned that those attempting to take advantage of the city's vaccination program through illegal means will face legal consequences.

Reports have surfaced of individuals showing up at vaccination sites with fake notification messages and tampering with vaccine cards.
