QC mayor Belmonte tests positive for coronavirus

Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte tested positive for coronavirus but is asymptomatic.

Belmonte will continue working while on quarantine and attributes her exposure to visits at health centers, hospitals, and areas under strict lockdown.

The Quezon City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (QCESU) is conducting contact tracing among those who had direct contact with Belmonte in the past few days.

Employees from the third and 14th floors of the city hall will be tested for COVID-19 and need to undergo home quarantine until results are released, expected within three days.
