PVL finalizes women's national roster, set for AVC Challenge Cup

The Premier Volleyball League (PVL) is set to finalize the roster for the Philippine women's national volleyball team on Wednesday, May 8.

Palou, the PVL president, confirmed that they have a pool of 20 players recommended by various coaches and are awaiting feedback from FIVB-assigned coach Jorge Edson de Brito.

The lineup is expected to be announced shortly after as the league heads into the best-of-three All-Filipino finals between Creamline Cool Smashers and Choco Mucho Flying Titans starting Thursday, May 9.

PVL chairman Tony Boy Liao also confirmed the development on Monday, May 6, noting that they are working closely with the Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) to manage the national team.

This new mandate from the PNVF begins with hosting the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) Challenge Cup for Women starting May 22 at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum in Manila.
