Rep Paolo Duterte supports father in The Hague

Davao City Representative Paolo 'Pulong' Duterte has arrived in The Hague, Netherlands, where his father, former President Rodrigo Duterte, is being held for alleged crimes against humanity.

Vice President Sara Duterte confirmed Pulong's presence during an interview and mentioned that he will stay until shortly before the midterm elections to support his father's campaign.

Honeylet Avanceña, Rodrigo Duterte's common-law partner, initially accompanied Pulong but has returned to the Philippines to coordinate with him for his reelection bid in Davao City.

The House of Representatives granted travel clearance to Pulong for a personal trip to 17 countries and Hong Kong in March.

Rodrigo 'Rigo' Duterte II stated that his father's office remains operational despite his absence, ensuring continuous service to constituents.

Former President Rodrigo Duterte was arrested by local authorities on March 11 based on an International Criminal Court (ICC) warrant.
