PSA: National ID, civil registry systems unaffected by alleged data breach

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) assured on Wednesday that the national ID and Civil Registration System were not affected by an alleged data breach.

Upon receiving reports of a potential leak involving a PSA-managed system, the agency activated its Data Breach Response Team and began investigating.

Initial assessments indicate that only the Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS), which collects data for local planning, may have been compromised.
