Presidential candidates start campaign period

Presidential candidates began their three-month campaign period on Tuesday with rallies in their respective hometowns.

Leody de Guzman, a labor leader and presidential candidate from Partido Lakas ng Masa (PLM), launched his campaign at the Bantayog ng mga Bayani in Quezon City despite lacking a permit.

De Guzman emphasized the importance of voting for candidates who share workers' sentiments and promised to fight for their rights.

His running mate, Walden Bello, will join him during the rally.
