Bacolod seizes PHP45M shabu, arrests nine including Dellomo family

Bacolod City authorities seized PHP41.344 million worth of suspected shabu and arrested nine individuals, including primary suspect John Philip Dellomo, during anti-drug operations over the past week.

On Tuesday night at around 8 pm, police arrested Dellomo in Barangay 35 after he sold a plastic bag of suspected shabu valued at PHP60,000, leading to the seizure of 6,080 grams of suspected shabu—the largest single drug haul in Western Visayas this year.

Dellomo's father Lauro and brother Ronel were also arrested for allegedly interfering with police operations and attempting to maul a policeman during the arrest.

Over the weekend, authorities seized PHP3.7 million worth of suspected shabu in two separate operations, bringing the total value of confiscated drugs to PHP45.04 million since Sunday.

Colonel Joeresty Coronica, Bacolod police director, announced that they would intensify their anti-drug campaign ahead of and during the city's MassKara Festival in October to prevent a surge in illegal drug activities.
