SPD, PNP seize P8.6M drugs in Taguig, Caloocan raids

Southern Police District (SPD) operatives confiscated nearly P1.11 million worth of drugs in Taguig City and the Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group seized over PHP7.5 million worth of narcotics in separate operations in Caloocan and Taguig on Tuesday evening.

In Taguig, three suspects were arrested including a 32-year-old man named alias 'John Paul', a 30-year-old man named alias 'Jepoy', and a 17-year-old student named alias 'Shawn'.

Meanwhile in Caloocan, police apprehended a 41-year-old male who yielded about 500 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of PHP3.4 million.

In Taguig, the seized illegal drugs amounted to 163 grams with an estimated value of P1,108,400, while in Caloocan, the suspect and non-drug evidence are now in the custody of the PDEG Special Operations Unit-National Capital Region.

'John Paul' and 'Jepoy' were taken into custody by the Taguig City Police Station for possession of illegal drugs and firearms regulation violations, while the minor suspect 'Shawn' was turned over to the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
