Anti-drug ops net 4 big-time traffickers, P1.1M shabu

Anti-illegal drug operatives arrested four alleged big-time drug traffickers in buy-bust operations on Wednesday and Thursday (January 8-9) across Laguna, Quezon provinces, and Binangonan, Rizal.

The suspects 'Jun' and 'Nard', arrested earlier this week in Binangonan for selling P1,000 worth of shabu to an undercover cop, were among those apprehended along with 'Axcel', 'Pangit', and 'MC'.

In Lumban, Laguna, Axcel was caught after selling P40,000 worth of methamphetamine to an undercover officer, while in Lucena City, Pangit and MC were arrested during a sting operation.

The operations yielded over P1.1 million worth of shabu, including 40 grams from Jun and Nard valued at P272,000 and 150 grams from Axcel worth P1,020,000.

Police are conducting further investigations to determine the source of these illegal drugs, with all suspects currently in police custody facing charges under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
