Police arrest 8 drug traffickers, seize P1M worth shabu in Quezon, Cavite, Rizal

Quezon police arrested an alleged drug trafficker and seized more than P428,000 worth of shabu in a buy-bust operation on Friday, July 12.

In addition to the Quezon arrest, four suspected drug traffickers were apprehended in Cavite and Rizal provinces, yielding over P430,000 worth of shabu and an illegal firearm.

On Saturday and Sunday (July 13 and 14), police conducted separate buy-bust operations in Rizal province that resulted in the arrest of three suspected drug traffickers and the seizure of more than P275,000 worth of shabu.

The suspects included 'Man-Man' from Rodriguez town who was caught with 30 grams of crystal meth valued at P204,000, and 'Bong' and 'Jay' from Antipolo City who were found with P71,400 worth of shabu.

All arrested suspects are currently detained and face charges under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002; some also face additional charges for illegal possession of firearms or other contraband.
