PNVF invites 33 prospects for national volleyball team tryouts

Thirty-three prospects, including 15 current members of Alas Pilipinas, have been invited to tryouts for the women's national volleyball teams competing in three major international competitions this year.

Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) president Ramon 'Tats' Suzara highlighted that these invitees are top collegiate players, prospects from overseas, and stalwarts from different teams in the Premiere Volleyball League.

Brazilian coach Jorge Edson Sauza de Brito will oversee the tryouts, with dates and venues to be announced later.

Scheduled competitions this year include the 6th AVC Challenge Cup for Women set June 8-15; the Southeast Asian V. League Weeks 1 (July 25-27) and Week 2 (August 1-3); and the 33rd Southeast Asian Games in Thailand from December 7 to 19.

The list of invitees includes setters, liberos, opposite spikers, outside hitters, and middle blockers from various teams and collegiate ranks across the Philippines.
