PNP urges strict health protocols vs Omicron

The Philippine National Police (PNP) urged the public to strictly adhere to minimum public health standards following the detection of the Omicron variant in the country.

PNP chief Gen Dionardo Carlos reminded people to wear face masks and shields, maintain physical distance, and practice personal hygiene, especially as Christmas approaches.

Carlos emphasized that these protocols are mandated by various executive orders and IATF guidelines, and stressed the importance of vaccination as a key measure against the virus.
