PNP to secure extended voter signup hours

The Philippine National Police (PNP) assured the public on Friday that it is prepared to secure extended voter registration hours for the 2022 elections.

Commission on Elections (Comelec) extended the registration hours to accommodate more applicants due to the pandemic.

PNP chief, Gen. Guillermo Eleazar stated that ensuring minimum public health safety standards and quarantine protocols at registration sites is a priority.

Eleazar also tasked local police offices to coordinate with local government units regarding this matter.
