Magalong orders halt to PNP, BFP training over health violations

Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong ordered a halt to Philippine National Police (PNP) and Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) training in the city due to health protocol violations.

Magalong said he asked PNP chief Police General Guillermo Eleazar and BFP chief Jose Embang Jr. to suspend all their training because there were many violations of minimum public health standards.

The mayor also informed that 26 more trainees tested positive for COVID-19 from June 28 to July 11, leading to the decision to discontinue face-to-face training activities.
