PNP reports 21.6K fully vaccinated, 29K total infections

As of Monday, July 19, a total of 63,579 members of the Philippine National Police (PNP) have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, with 21,607 fully vaccinated.

The PNP reported 76 new cases on Sunday, bringing the total number of confirmed infections to 29,316; recoveries increased by 79 to reach a total of 27,926 while the death toll remained at 78.

On Saturday, 47 more personnel tested positive for COVID-19, raising the case count to 29,245 and recoveries climbed to 27,852 after 97 additional patients recovered; one new fatality was recorded bringing the death toll to 78.

The PNP chief ordered preparations for worst-case scenarios following confirmation of cases involving the Delta variant.
