PNP reports 34th coronavirus fatality

The Philippine National Police (PNP) reported another fatality due to COVID-19, raising the total death toll among its personnel to 34.

A 45-year-old commissioned officer died on March 14 from cardiac arrest with COVID-19 as an antecedent cause.

As of Monday, PNP recorded 12,343 cases of COVID-19 infections among police officers, including 103 new cases reported on the previous day.

A total of 11,391 police officers have recovered from the disease, while there are currently 918 active cases.

The Manila Police District chief placed MPD Station 11 under special quarantine after 46 police officers tested positive for COVID-19.
