PNP reports 126th COVID fatality in Nueva Ecija

A 38-year-old police officer from Jaen, Nueva Ecija, is the Philippine National Police's (PNP) 126th fatality due to COVID-19.

The officer died on January 14 at the Nueva Ecija Medical Center after testing positive for COVID-19 and suffering acute respiratory failure.

This marks the first PNP death from COVID-19 since November 9, 2021.

Despite being fully vaccinated, the officer had co-morbidities including chronic kidney disease and community-acquired pneumonia.
