PNP: Over 70K violate enhanced community quarantine rules

As of Tuesday, March 31, more than 70,000 individuals have violated the rules of the enhanced community quarantine implemented due to the threat of COVID-19.

The Philippine National Police (PNP) reported that from March 17 to 30, 39,866 violators were in Luzon and the rest were distributed across Visayas and Mindanao.

Of these violators, 19,340 have been arrested, 3,829 fined, and 48,423 received warnings from authorities.

Additionally, a total of 601 individuals have been arrested for hoarding, profiteering, and manipulating prices during the quarantine.
