PNP clears Alvin Que in father's kidnapping-murder case

The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Thursday cleared Alvin Que from involvement in his father Anson Que's kidnapping and murder after another suspect claimed responsibility.

Alvin Que has been cooperating with the PNP Anti-Kidnapping Group by submitting his cellphone for forensic examination, while his lawyers called the allegations against him baseless.

The AKG intends to amend the complaint and remove Alvin from the list of respondents on Friday as there is no evidence linking him to the crime.

According to Police Brigadier General Jean Fajardo, despite an affidavit implicating Alvin by one suspect, David Tan Liao, the PNP thoroughly investigated and found no corroborating evidence.

The Department of Justice instructed the AKG to put their request into writing; the motion will be submitted on Friday.
