PNP identifies two suspects in Anson Que's killing, seeks third

On Friday, the Philippine National Police (PNP) identified David Tan Liao and Kelly Tan Lim as alleged masterminds behind businessman Anson Que's killing.

Police General Rommel Francisco Marbil confirmed that while they have identified two of the suspects involved in the crime - David Tan Liao and Kelly Tan Lim - there is still an unnamed suspect being sought with a P5 million bounty.

The suspects are part of a syndicate, according to the PNP chief, who also noted that they are investigating the motive behind the kidnapping and murder.

Anson Que's body along with his driver Armanie Pabillo was found on April 10 stuffed inside nylon bags in Rodriguez, Rizal.

Kelly Tan Lim allegedly lured Anson Que to an apartment in Bulacan where he was held captive for ransom, which was transferred through casino junket operators before being converted into cryptocurrency.

The PNP is now tracing the PHP200 million ransom paid and working with the Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC) to close establishments involved in money laundering activities related to the case.
