PNP files complaints against suspects in UC student's alleged hazing death

Police General Rodolfo Azurin Jr. announced that complaints against suspects in the alleged hazing death of University of Cebu student Ronnel Baguio will be filed this week.

The PNP identified five fraternity officials as suspects and found two witnesses, including a member who recruited Baguio.

Baguio was allegedly hazed on December 10, 2022, and died from severe respiratory distress and acute kidney injury secondary to rhabdomyolysis on December 19, 2022.

The NBI is also investigating another hazing death involving a Tau Gamma Phi fraternity member in Cebu.
