PNP arrests alleged Angels of Death member linked to Quiboloy abuses

An alleged former member of 'Angels of Death,' an armed group associated with preacher Apollo Quiboloy, has been taken into custody by the Philippine National Police (PNP).

According to PNP spokesperson Col. Jean Fajardo, the individual claims that this group was used to threaten and harass Quiboloy's victims to prevent them from revealing his abuses.

Former members of Quiboloy's Kingdom of Jesus Christ have provided testimonies suggesting deaths linked to the sect's armed group, prompting police investigations.

Quiboloy himself is currently detained at a PNP facility in Camp Crame and faces charges including sexual abuse, child abuse, and human trafficking.

The individual disclosed specific cases but declined to provide additional information citing security concerns for him and his family.

Initial verification by the PNP Firearms and Explosives Office showed that some alleged members of 'Angels of Death' have registered firearms under their names.
