PNP orders CIDG probe on RevGov proponents

PNP Chief Gen. Archie Gamboa ordered the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) to investigate proponents of the Duterte-led 'revolutionary government' movement.

Gamboa stated that the PNP has no involvement in this initiative, clarifying that invitations were sent to various government agencies without their consent.

The investigation aims to determine if there is any basis for criminal charges and potential arrests.

Gamboa emphasized that such political stunts are ill-timed given the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
