PNP announces leadership changes in Mindanao, Visayas, Luzon; Suguilon takes over PRO-10

The Philippine National Police announced significant leadership changes for regional offices across Mindanao, Visayas, and Luzon on Thursday.

Brig. Gen. Rolindo Suguilon will take over as Acting Director of PRO-10 (Northern Mindanao), replacing Brig. Gen. Jaysen de Guzman who moves to become the new Director of PRO-BAR in Muslim Mindanao overseeing parliamentary elections scheduled for October 13.

Suguilon vowed on Friday to provide timely responses and implement crucial reforms, emphasizing swift public service, unity within ranks, and unwavering accountability as key principles.

These changes, effective immediately on Thursday as per orders from the Chief of PNP General Nicolas Torre III, aim to address heightened security concerns following the May midterm elections and prepare for upcoming electoral exercises in the Bangsamoro region.

Suguilon's extensive experience, including his role as Acting Director of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group and Deputy Regional Director for Operations, makes him well-suited for his new position in Northern Mindanao.
