PLDT advances to PVL finals with victory over Kobe Shinwa

PLDT secured its place in the finals of the Premier Volleyball League Invitational with a decisive 25-20, 25-22, 25-23 victory over Kobe Shinwa University on Monday at the PhilSports Arena.

Kobe Shinwa University had previously defeated ZUS Coffee and presented a significant challenge to PLDT due to its youthful squad's recent success.

PLDT coach Rald Ricafort expressed confidence in his team, which now includes rookies Alleiah Malaluan and veteran Dell Palomata, as they prepare for the final match scheduled for Sunday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Savi Davison led PLDT with 17 points, while rookie Alleiah Malauan and PVL on Tour Finals MVP Mika Reyes contributed 12 and 11 hits respectively.

PLDT's victory marks their fourth consecutive win in the tournament and sets them up for a potential second straight title.
