PLDT HS Hitters sweep Chery Tiggo Crossovers in opening match

The PLDT High Speed Hitters secured a dominant victory over the Chery Tiggo Crossovers in their opening match of the PVL Invitational Conference on Thursday, August 21.

Despite playing without star players Savi Davison, Kianna Dy, and Kim Fajardo, PLDT was led by rookie Alleiah Malaluan who contributed a near triple-double with 11 points, 13 excellent digs, and 9 excellent receptions.

Coach Rald Ricafort's team displayed resilience and growth following their recent championship win in the PVL on Tour, emphasizing their readiness for another title run.

Key players like Majoy Baron also performed well, contributing 10 points to PLDT’s victory, while Angge Alcantara recorded 20 excellent sets.

The match started at 6:30 p.m. and concluded with a sweep of the Crossovers in three sets (25-16, 25-14, 25-20), demonstrating PLDT's continued dominance.

Meanwhile, Creamline Cool Smashers repeated their On Tour victory over Cignal HD Spikers in a thrilling five-set match, setting the stage for an exciting PVL Invitational Conference.
