PLDT beats Creamline 3-1 after eight-game losing streak

The PLDT High Speed Hitters concluded their 2024 PVL All-Filipino Conference with a decisive victory over Creamline on Thursday night at the Philsports Arena, securing their first win against Creamline after nine games.

PLDT won the match 3-1 with set scores of 22-25, 25-22, 25-14, and 27-25, ending an eight-game losing streak against their rivals.

Savi Davison led PLDT's charge with a stellar performance of 27 points, earning her the PVL Press Corps Player of the Week award for the second time this season.

Despite finishing second in the standings behind Chery Tiggo, Creamline secured a semifinal spot, while PLDT's campaign ended without securing a playoff berth due to earlier results.

Davison expressed pride in the team's performance and emphasized the potential for future success when players like Mika Reyes recover from injuries, looking forward to a more productive second conference later this year.
