St. Benilde faces Enderun, La Salle takes on New Era in Next Man cUP

College of St. Benilde and De La Salle University will face different opponents this weekend in the Next Man cUP tournament of Pinoyliga at Enderun Colleges gym in Taguig City.

On Saturday, March 8, UP will play against Lyceum of the Philippines University at 2 p.m., followed by St. Benilde versus Enderun Colleges at 4 p.m.

The following day, Sunday, March 9, La Salle will take on New Era University at 2 p.m., and Ateneo will face San Sebastian College-Recoletos at 4 p.m.

St. Benilde is looking to maintain its perfect record after recent wins against Lyceum of the Philippines University (80-64) and Guang Ming College (88-69), with standout performances by Jio Gonzaga, who scored 18 points in the LPU game and added 12 points, four rebounds, and five assists against Guang Ming.

La Salle aims to continue its strong start in the tournament following an 82-67 victory over Ateneo, led by Mason Amos's 18 points, Jacob Cortez's 16 points, Lionel Matthew Rubico's 12 points, and Luis Pablo's six points and eight rebounds.

UP seeks to bounce back from recent losses against St. Benilde (52-87) and Guang Ming College (64-72) with the addition of new player James Payosing, who recently transferred from San Beda Red Lions.
