Pilipinas Aguilas face UST Tigresses in WMPBL finals Game 2

The Pilipinas Aguilas face the University of Santo Tomas Growling Tigresses in Game 2 of the Women's Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League Invitational Tournament finals on Sunday, April 20, at 6 p.m.

In Game 1, the Aguilas won a hard-fought double overtime match against UST with a score of 95-86, putting them one win away from clinching the inaugural WMPBL title.

Interim head coach Paolo Layug emphasizes that his team must improve their defense to contain Kent Pastrana and secure a series victory.

Pastrana had an impressive performance in Game 1 with 23 points, nine rebounds, five assists, and two steals before fouling out late.

UST players are determined to correct their mistakes from the previous game and come back stronger for Game 2.

Before the match, there will be an awarding ceremony at 5:30 p.m. to honor the league's top performers sponsored by various brands.
