Phoenix Fuel Masters beat TNT Tropang 5G 95-81

Phoenix Fuel Masters improved their record to 2-3 by defeating TNT Tropang 5G with a convincing 95-81 victory in the PBA Philippine Cup on Friday at the Ynares Center.

Jason Perkins led Phoenix's strong performance with 27 points, six rebounds, and three assists without committing any fouls, while Tyler Tio added 16 points and four assists.

Phoenix dominated from start to finish, leading by as many as 26 points in the first half before securing their victory with a decisive second-half performance.

Calvin Oftana nearly recorded a double-double for TNT with 20 points and nine rebounds but it was not enough to prevent the loss, marking TNT's worst start to a conference since the 2000 All-Filipino Cup when they started at 0-3.

With this defeat, TNT remains winless at 0-3 and struggles to maintain their Grand Slam aspirations, while Phoenix moves forward with renewed confidence.

Phoenix will face San Miguel next Sunday in Antipolo, while TNT will also play against the Beermen on May 4.
