Taal Volcano continues steam emission, Alert Level 3 remains

Taal Volcano continues to emit steam and dense white smoke, with weak steaming observed from fissure vents along the Daang Kastila Trail.

PHIVOLCS reported moderate emission of white to dirty white plumes reaching up to 300 meters high from Taal's main crater on Sunday.

Sulfur dioxide emissions were measured at an average of 54 tons per day, still relatively low compared to previous measurements.
