Duterte touts Sinovac after Norway Pfizer deaths

President Duterte on Monday expressed skepticism about the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine following reports of elderly deaths in Norway.

He suggested that senators who favor Pfizer should receive it themselves.

Some Filipino seniors also expressed hesitation over receiving the vaccine due to these incidents.

Health officials and Malacañang hope the Norwegian deaths won't affect Pfizer's emergency use authorization (EUA) in the Philippines.

Vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr. said the country will be more cautious in choosing a vaccine for senior citizens.
